Grab fresh cookies at Mountain Top Cookie Shop or cool off with a scoop from Higgles Ice Cream.  Pop into the Breckenridge Welcome Center for local tips or just wander the colorful shops and enjoy the mountain town energy.  Cap off the day with a relaxing stroll along the scenic Riverwalk. 

Day 2 – Epic Discovery at Peak 8 

Ride the free BreckConnect Gondola to Peak 8 and dive into mountaintop fun at Epic Discovery. From the alpine slide and ropes courses to the scenic chairlift and climbing wall, it’s a full day of excitement. Grab lunch at Robbie’s Tavern and wrap things up with dinner at Mi Casa where they have great food, a fun vibe, and a setting perfect for families. 

Day 3 – Hikes and Hidden Treasures  

Start your day with breakfast at Columbine Café, then head out for a hike. Sawmill Creek Trail is a short, scenic option perfect for families. Be sure to visit Isak Heartstone, the beloved Breckenridge Troll, just a quick walk from downtown. In the afternoon, get creative with hands-on art at BreckCreate or Ready Paint Fire. 

Day 4 –  Spend the Day on Lake Dillon 

Pack swimsuits, towels, and snacks for a day at the Lake Dillon Marina. Just a short 10-minute drive from Breckenridge, the lake offers kayak and paddleboard rentals, or you can cruise around on a rented pontoon boat. After a fun-filled day on the water, stop for dinner at Ollie’s Pub & Grub, along Frisco’s charming Main Street. They offer a laid-back atmosphere and plenty of comfort food favorites. 

Day 5 – Dig into History at Country Boy Mine 

 Step into local history with a tour of Country Boy Mine. Pan for gold, explore underground tunnels, and meet the burros—kids love it. Afterward, head to Downstairs at Eric’s for pizza, burgers, and a family-friendly arcade. 

Day 6 – E-Bike Adventures  

Rent e-bikes in Breckenridge or Frisco and cruise the scenic Blue River Recreation Path. This paved trail offers a smooth, leisurely ride with beautiful views along the way. Ride the full loop around Lake Dillon for a challenge, or take it easy with a scenic out-and-back. Stop at the marinas for snacks or a lakeside drink. There’s no shortage of places to pause and take in the views.  

Day 7 – Scenic Drive and Sweet Send-Off 

Before heading home, enjoy a hearty brunch at Blue Moose or Amazing Grace. Then take a slow drive-up Boreas Pass for one last panoramic looks of those iconic mountain peaks. It’s a picture-perfect way to end your trip.
